Airport transfers It takes approximately 45 minutes by car to travel from the airport to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. It’s easy to arrange a taxi from the airport, or alternatively, there are metro bus and shuttle bus services to most major hotels and the Melbourne Central Business District.

Climate Melbourne has a reputation for its changeable weather, known for having 'four seasons in one day'. Melbourne can be cool during the month of May, autumn season. Generally the city enjoys a temperate climate with warm to hot summers; mild, temperate springs and autumns; and cool winters. Temperatures average 25°C in summer and 14°C in winter. 

Insurance Please consider purchasing travel insurance prior to RACP Congress. We recommend you purchase travel insurance that covers non-refundable congress fees. Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians will not accept liability.

Visas If you are travelling internationally to RACP Congress, please ensure you have six months validity on your passport from your departure date. Also check online to confirm whether you will need a visa. Once you have registered and paid for your registration via the online portal, you will receive a confirmation email outlining your selections for Congress. This confirmation email will satisfy visa application requirements and no further documentation should be necessary.
